New Year, Same Great Service.
Hello and welcome to our first blog of 2019! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a great end to the year, we certainly did here at Hinton Cars.
2018 was a fantastic year for us, we went from strength to strength as a company, and we endeavour to keep building on that throughout 2019. We will continue our awesome airport/cruise transfer competition and we will also be welcoming a new part time driver in the first part of 2019. Lots to look forward to, so we hope you stick with us through 2019 and we can keep providing you with our same great service!
First Competition Winner of 2019
As most of you know, in August 2018, we started a new competition to reward our fabulous clients for their loyalty and to thank all our new clients for trusting in our company and booking with us.
So it is my great pleasure so announce our first 2019 Airport/Cruise transfer competition winner as Karen Kritter going from Heathrow to Pennington. As always, we will try and get a photo of our winner but sometimes they can get a little camera shy.
New year, same rules – all you have to do to be in with a chance of winning an Airport/Cruise Transfer is book a taxi with us, at any time, in any way!
As well as our social media platforms.
The number of stories I hear from clients still amazes me every time, unfortunately not always pleasant, but I feel compelled to share one with you and hopefully pass on some useful information. The reoccurring theme with these stories is usually the dissatisfaction resulting from usage of a taxi company (not ours of course!). The complaints often include: dirty vehicles, drivers speeding, unsafe practices and more; the issues always change. However, I always maintain that I don’t get involved with other companies and refuse to bad mouth them because it wouldn’t be right of me to act that way. My primary goal is just to ensure customers that these practices certainly do not occur at Hinton Cars.
A recent client was informing me of a company they used where one of their drivers was driving at speeds of 60mph on a narrow country road where the speed limit was 40mph, which is clearly unsafe and illegal. I wanted to ensure the client that none of our drivers operate like this, and that we always drive in a safe and appropriate manner, to maintain a customer’s safety and wellbeing and ensure they are happy at all times whilst under our services. Whilst these things do occur at other companies, there are some actions that can be taken to prevent such instances occurring in the future.
You can call the company directly, inform them of what has happened and ask them to investigate it. Unfortunately, they are not obliged to tell you the outcome of their investigation, but they would have to look into the incident and deal with it accordingly.
You can go to the local licensing authority to which the driver and car belong to. They will fully investigate what has happened and will inform you when they have dealt with the complaint fully, although the outcome may again be withheld.
Most of my clients don’t say anything about their bad experiences, perhaps down to a number of reasons, maybe they just felt it unnecessary; which is fine. However, I felt like I should offer my advice and inform you of the proper procedures if you did feel strongly about reporting it. Again, I must stress that these improper practices do not occur at Hinton Cars.
This was our busiest New Year’s yet, so again; a huge thankyou to all of you who continue to help build this small company. We hope to improve again on this next year, and we are forever grateful to the people who used our services. We also think it’s great that more people, young people in particular are becoming more responsible by avoiding the risks of drink driving.
Thankyou for reading, here’s to a prosperous new year, and a massive Happy New Year to all of you!
